I will interpret my presentation from the following parts: analysis of teaching content and students, analysis of teaching aims and key and difficult points and so on.

Analysis of the teaching material

Firstly, I will talk sth. about teaching material. This lesson is chosen from ____. It mainly talks about ____. After learning this lesson, students will master some new words: _____ and useful expressions _____. At the same time, their ability of analyzing texts will be improved as well as their confidence of speaking English can be developed a lot. Reading part is very important. If students learn it well, they will have a good foundation for other parts.

Analysis of the students

Secondly, let’s focus on the students. As we all know, students are the main body of our class. In this period, they have learned English for more than 3 years. They have some knowledge background about English information, including words, expressions or some culture. But it is not enough for them to communicate with others freely. Therefore, when we are in class, I will create more chances to practice their speaking ability and build their confidence of learning English.

Based on the above analysis of teaching material and the students in my class, I set the

Analysis of teaching and study methods

Now, I would like to talk about the teaching methods and study methods. As to the teaching methods, Communicative Language Approach, Task-based Teaching Method and Situational method will be applied in this lesson. As for the study methods, I will ask them to retell the passage by themselves and discuss some interesting topics in groups, which can help them develop a good sense of cooperation.

Step 1: Lead-in

Singing a song can create a relax class atmosphere and these questions are about ____ that is related today’s lesson, which can easily lead in this class.

Step 2: Pre-reading

Before reading this passage, I will ask them to predict the main idea of this text according to pictures/ key words/ title. I will show for statement for their choice.

This activity mainly develops students’ predicting skill and they are eager to know the content of the reading material.
